Cheese and Bacon Turnovers
Cheese and bacon turnovers made with ready-rolled puff pastry are super easy to make. Each turnover is generously spread with green pesto and filled with pieces of crispy bacon, melted cheese, and slices of tomato.

Baking Tray
Baking Parchment
- 300 g bacon 6 Rashers smoked or unsmoked
- 375 g 1 x packet All butter Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
- 2 tablespoons Green Pesto
- 150 g 6 cheese slices cut in half
- 60 g cheese grated optional topping
- 6 cherry tomatoes
Pre-heat the oven to 200c deg fan assisted oven.
Spread the rashers of bacon on a sheet of baking parchment placed on a large flat baking tray. Bake in the oven for about 6 mins until the bacon is just cooked but not crispy as it will have extra baking time in the oven later.
300 g bacon 6 Rashers smoked or unsmoked
Roll out the sheet of ready made puff pastry onto another baking tray covered with baking parchment. Cut the puff pastry evenly into 12 squares.
375 g 1 x packet All butter Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
Spread each square of pastry with the Green Pesto. Add a slice of Cheese on top of the Pesto. Cut the bacon in half and place each piece on top of the cheese sharing equally between each square of pastry. Slice each tomato in half and place on top of the bacon.

Carefully fold two opposite corners of the puff pastry into the middle pressing them together to keep them in place. Add some extra grated cheese (optional) on the top.
60 g cheese grated optional topping
Bake at 200c deg for about 12 - 15 mins, or until the pastry is golden and cooked underneath and the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven and leave to cool a little before serving.
Storage
- Eat warm or cold or store in the fridge for up to a couple of days. Reheat if you wish, until cooked through.
Cook's Tips
- For finger snacks and party-sized portions, cut the Puff Pastry into smaller squares and add a smaller amount of filling.
- As an alternative filling, try spreading the pastry with Mustard or Red Pesto.
For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon and replace it with slices of baby tomatoes or peppers.
